Tara began her career in 1977 by auditioning her first movie Death of Ocean View Park. Moreover, some scenes were used in “Rollercoaster” where she finally received credits for her role. She is therefore remembered because of her guest appearance in the 1970s and 1980s.

Buckman has consequently appeared in films such as Kojak, The Rockford Files, Chips. Likewise, she has also featured in Misadventures of Sherriff. Similarly, to Quincy and M.E as Sgt.Brandy Cummings

Furthermore, she appeared in  1979 in television movies. “The Man in the Santa Claus Suit” and” Death Car on the Freeway”. Above all,  she portrayed Norma Kirkland on the daytime drama, “Days of Our Lives” in 1984/1985.
