The crash occurred on lap 156 of the 160-lap race, when Preece’s car made contact with the car of Chase Briscoe. Preece’s car then went airborne and rolled several times before coming to a stop. He was taken to the infield care center and then to Halifax Health Medical Center for evaluation. He was released from the hospital the following day and is expected to make a full recovery.
