Martha Plimpton (Martha Campbell Plimpton) is an American actress, singer, and former model. She began her career as a model. In early 1980s she secured a campaign for Calvin Klein. In the campaign, she made an impression as a sophisticated but tomboyish little girl.
Her acting career begun when she was very young. She hadn’t even become a teenager. In 1981, at the age of eleven, she got a small role in the film Rollover. Her feature film debut was in The She rose to prominence through the film The Goonies in the year 1985. She had however made her first appearance in the film the River Rat in 1984. It was her role in the River Rat that opened her way to stardom.
In her late teenage years, She was also active in theater in her late teenage years. She performed in regional theater in Seattle, Washington. Her mother was living there at the time. She also began making appearances with supporting roles in big-budget films. Among them include, Another Woman in 1988. She shaved her head to play a cancer patient in Zwei Frauen in 1990. She co-starred in the movie with Jami Gertz.
She had a recurring role on the NBC show Surface (2005–06). She also guest starred on an episode of 7th Heaven in the year 2004. She was the voice of Miss Crumbles in the 2004 animated film Hair High. She also had a rolw in the Coast of Utopia. She was nominated for a Tony award, Featured Actress. She also won a Drama Desk Award.

She has been politically active in abortion rights since her teenage years. She speaks in campuses and rallies to the young women and general audience about openly speaking about abortion. She beleives that bodily autonomy is pretty much number one if you want to consider yourself a free citizen.
In 2014, she revealed that her herself has had an abortion more than once. She created another controversy in 2017 when she said that she had multiple abortions. She said that her best abortion was one that she received at Planned Parenthood in Seattle.
Through a lenthy article, she decried both U.S. Supreme Court decisions in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby and McCullen v. Coakley. She clearly indicated that her letter had three purposes;
- to contribute to the dismantling of an oppressive, artificial and unfair shaming of women who seek abortion care,
- make clear just how normal, common, and healthy a decision it is for the women who make it, and
- to encourage women who are part of this one third to be unashamed and come out of the abortion closet.”
She has been very vocal about the rights of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders. She says that their rights link with those of abortion.

Martha Plimpton Goonies
The Goonies is a 1985 American adventure comedy film. It is directed by Richard Donner, who produced with Harvey Bernhard. A band of kids who live in the “Goon Docks” neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, attempt to save their homes from demolition.
In doing so, they discover an old Spanish map that leads them on an adventure to unearth the long-lost fortune of One-Eyed Willy. Willy is a legendary 17th-century pirate. During the entire adventure, they are chased by a family of criminals, who want the treasure for themselves.
