Mandie Taketa is an American actress.  She best  known for Manband! The Movie (2007) and Unsung Hollywood (2014).

She was previously married to Wayne Brady.  She is quite accomplished in her own right as a yoga instructor, a physical therapist, as well as a bodybuilder.

Mandie  finished her elementary and high school education in Hawaii and though she had a full dance scholarship at the University of Hawaii, she decided instead to pursue a dance and acting career in Los Angeles.

Mandie is known for her role as Vicky in the independent comedy film Manband! The Movie. She has also participated in various competitions ranging from dancing, acrobatics, bodybuilding and cheerleading to paintball. She is also a successful entrepreneur who owns three different companies, a film production company that specializes in wedding films  Anything Everything Productions, Adell Body Works, and This Lifetime.

Mandie’s ex husband has also appeared in numerous movies and voice-overs and has released two albums A long time Coming (2008) and Radio Wayne (2011). For his contributions to the industry, Wayne has won a couple of awards which include: Daytime Emmy Award for hosting The Wayne Brady Show and 30000 Reason to Love Me, as well as a Prime Emmy Award for the comedy series Whose Line Is It Anyway?

For years, Mandie’s husband secretly battled clinical depression.  Wayne hit rock bottom on his 42nd birthday and suffered a complete breakdown after the tragic death of his close acquaintance and fellow comedian Robin Williams who committed suicide following a longtime struggle with depression.  Mandie was by her ex-husband’s side and helped him recover from the hard times.  Wayne  had a mental breakdown and later credited Mandie for helping him recover. According to Wayne, though Mandie may no longer be his wife, she is more than his best friend who can go the extra mile for him.
