Lindsay Sloane is an American actress best known for playing Valerie Birkhead on Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1997–99) and Emily in The Odd Couple (2015–17).
Sloane has also starred in the following films; Bring It On (2000), Over Her Dead Body (2008), She’s Out of My League (2010), The Other Guys (2010), Horrible Bosses (2011), and its sequel Horrible Bosses 2 (2014).

Empowered by the support of her family, She started to harbour acting aspirations when she was a child. Her family relocated to Los Angeles, California, which helped her land more acting opportunities.
When she was eight years old, she found herself an agent. One time, she had an audition, and her mother drove through the 1992 LA Riots so she could attend it.
Sloane began her career in the entertainment industry as Big Sister’s voice in CBS ‘ Primetime animated TV special’ Why, Charlie Brown, Why? She then joined the cast of’ The Wonder Years’ in season five, portraying Alice Pedermeir. Sloane continued to appear in a total of six episodes of the show.
She made an appearance in an episode of the short-lived but critically acclaimed teen drama’ My So-Called Life’ in 1994. She made guest appearances in the teenage anthology series ‘ CBS Schoolbreak Special’ and Fox’s sitcom ‘ New York Daze’ in 1995.
In 1996, she landed Zoey Miller’s recurring role in NBC’s short-lived sitcom ‘ Mr. Rhodes’. She subsequently made a series of guest appearances in a series of TV shows, including’ Promised Land’ (1997),’ Working’ (1997), and Dharma & Greg’ (1997). The video game ‘ Lands of Lore’ was released in 1999. She lends her voice to a character named’ Goldy.’ She also appeared in the short film ‘ Win a Date’ in 1998.
In season two in 1997, Sloane became a member of the main cast of ABC’s sitcom ‘ Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,’ portraying Valerie Birkhead. She’s the protagonist’s best friend, and while at times she may seem dim-witted, it’s actually her lack of confidence that makes people question her intelligence. Sloane leaves the show in season four when her character moves with her parents to Alaska.
In 1999, she voiced Jackie Wallace in an episode of’ Batman Beyond’ from Kids ‘ WB. Sloane was cast in her first movie role in the romantic comedy’ Seven Girlfriends’ by Paul Lazarus. She played Daphne’s role. She later appeared in the television movie’ Student Affairs.’
She played Patty in two episodes of the Fox period sitcom’ That’ 70s Show’ between 1999 and 2000. She got the chance to work with Aaron Sorkin in her political drama serial’ The West Wing’ in 2000. She also appeared in her second feature film, the teen cheerleading comedy’ Bring it On’ that year.
She started playing Marcy Sternfeld in 2000, a parody of actress Tori Spelling in the sitcom ‘ Grosse Pointe’ of The WB, which was itself a satire on shows like the nighttime soap’ Beverly Hills, 90210.’ After one season, the series was cancelled.
She portrayed the sixth wife in the comedy film ‘The Six Wives of Henry Lefay’ (2009), Jay Baruchel’s former girlfriend in the romantic-comedy ‘She’s Out of My League’ (2010), Mark Wahlberg’s ex-fiancée in the action-comedy ‘The Other Guys’ (2010), and Charlie Day’s fiancée in the black comedy ‘Horrible Bosses’ (2011) and ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ (2014).
From 2006 to 2007, Sloane appeared in another short-lived sitcom,’ Help Me Help You.’ In the 2015 TV rendition of’ The Odd Couple,’ she shared screen space with Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon. She was cast upstairs as Emily, Oscar Madison (Perry) and Felix Unger’s (Lennon) neighbor.
The show ended in January 2017 and was formally cancelled later. Sloane has played Tina Steigerman’s recurring role in several episodes of USA Network’s comedy series ‘ Playing House’ (2014-17). She is set to be a star in the untitled project of filmmaker Drake Doremus.

‘The Tortilla Curtain’ Series Adaptation In Works By ‘Big Love’ Creators & MGM TV
MGM Television is teaming with Emmy-nominated creator/showrunners Will Scheffer and Mark V. Olsen to adapt T.C. Boyle’s Pen/Faulkner Award winning, landmark immigration-themed novel The Tortilla Curtain as a premium series, from HertzbergMedia and Nice Media Studios.
Written by Scheffer and Olsen, Tortilla Curtain the series is a darkly comedic look at immigration through the lens of a liberal white couple living in an upscale housing development atop Topanga Canyon and the undocumented Mexican couple living in the ravine below. Their lives become forever enmeshed when the white man hits the Mexican man with his car and flees the scene.
