Keith Carradine (Keith Ian Carradine) is an American actor, singer and songwriter. He is known for his great success on stage, film and television. He is famously known for his roles as Tom Frank in Robert Altman’s Nashville. He is also known as Wild Bill Hickok in the HBO series Deadwood.

He played the role of FBI agent Frank Lundy in Dexter. He also played US President Conrad Dalton in Madam Secretary. He is a Golden Globe- and Academy Award-winning songwriter. He is also a member of the Carradine family. He is part of an acting dynasty that began with his father, John Carradine.
Keith Carradine acting career begun in his youthful days. He had opportunities to appear on stage with his father in the latter’s productions of Shakespeare. He launched his acting carer 1969 after getting a slot in the original Broadway run of Hair. He started out in the chorus and worked his way up to the lead roles. In the lead roles, he played Woof and Claude.

His maternal great-grandfather was biochemist Max Henius, and his maternal great-grandmother was the sister of historian Johan Ludvig Heiberg. His parents divorced when he was 8 years old.
A bitter custody battle followed after his parents separation. This led to his father gaining custody of him and his brothers. He is one of many actors in the Carradine family. He is the brother of Christopher and Robert Carradine. He is also half-brother of Bruce and the late David Carradine through his father.
Through his mother, Keith Carradine is half-brother of Michael Bowen. He was raised primarily by his stepmother, his father’s third wife, Doris Grimshaw. He believed her to be his mother until he was introduced to his real mother, Sonia Sorel. This was at a Christmas party when he was 14 years old.
