John Stossel Cancer|Lung Cancer|Health

John Stossel revealed that he had been a victim of severe illness: lung cancer on 20 April 2016.  In an article that wrote from his hospital bed he shared about his illness and his battle against cancer

He was stating his gratefulness and appreciating the best treatments that he received from one of the best hospital in the world- Presbyterian Hospital, he assured that although his lung cancer took ‘a fifth of his lung,’ he was recovering well–triumphed against his illness.

However, sentences later, he switched on his ‘consumer reporter’ side as he made jibes about ‘socialist’ hospitals and their ‘terrible customer service.’.

This is an excerpt from his article explaining how health insurance is the central core of America’s illness:

“Leftists say the solution to such problems is government health care. But did they not notice what happened at Veterans Affairs? Bureaucrats let veterans die, waiting for care. When the scandal was exposed, they didn’t stop. USA Today reports that the abuse continues. Sometimes the VA’s suicide hotline goes to voicemail.

Patients will have a better experience only when more of us spend our own money for care. That’s what makes markets work.”

A few months late after recovering from his illness , he also thanked his wife, who had convinced him to go to the doctor.

In an interview, with TVNewser on Friday, he shared that his wife had been “overanxious that he get a CAT scan for a cough” only to realize that he had lung cancer; the quick diagnosis of the illness was one of the many reasons as to how he triumphed against cancer.
