John Guttag Biography
John Guttag is an American computer scientist, professor and former head of the Department of Electrical Engineering Science at MIT. Aside from his profession, John has also managed to receive a bachelor’s degree in English from Brown University in 1971. He has also achieved a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Brown in 1972.
In addition, he received a doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. John had also been a member of the Faculty at the University of Southern California from 1975 to 1978. He then decided to join the Massachusetts Institute of Technology faculty in 1979. Guttag also co-heads the IMT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory’s Network and Mobile systems.
