Roberson dedicated himself to the ministry of full time. Roberson established Carroll Roberson Ministries with a board of directors after serving as minister of a Baptist church in his home town for two years and moved into full-time evangelism with his office stationed in his home town of Ripley. Roberson maintains a two-year timetable across the nation through revivals, crusades, and concerts.
Roberson is recognized for his singing of the Southern Gospel and has written more than 300 songs and recorded more than 40 albums. He has had domestic success with songs such as “Wilt Thou Be Made Whole,” which remained for two months at #1 on the 1995 Singing News charts, as well as 15 top-ten songs throughout the early 1990s. Since 1988, Roberson has had over 50 songs in the charts of gospel music. Roberson has also earned various nominations and prizes for his singing, including the 1998 Voice Magazine and Hearts Aflame Soloist Top Soloist award.
Roberson has a 30-minute weekly television program called This is Carroll Roberson, seen on Christian Television Network (CTN) in millions of households around the globe. The television program, accompanied by his wife Donna, features simple Bible preaching and gospel music and is filmed in multiple outdoor locations in the United States.
Since 1993, Roberson has been hosting Israel tours. He also filmed several Israeli teaching DVDs. Visiting Jesus ‘ country has touched Roberson very deeply, and from the Hebraic view, he frequently investigates the scriptures. Much of his time is devoted to Jewish studies on Jesus as the Messiah. His trips to Israel have motivated him to focus on the life and ministry of Jesus the Messiah in the gospel accounts. Carroll thinks that the missing link is studying the scriptures from their original intent in most religious circles. Roberson was diagnosed with a cancerous growth on his throat. With no promise that he would be able to talk anymore, Roberson underwent thyroid surgery.
